LAKE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Devils Lake man was treated for injuries suffered when a driver rear-ended the backhoe he was driving.

The crash happened around 10:30 Saturday night on Highway 19 west of Devils Lake. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says 47-year-old Bryce Crosby of Devils Lake was going about 60 miles per hour when he hit the back of a backhoe driven by 58-year-old Terry Armstrong of Devils Lake.

Troopers say Armstrong was moving at a slow rate of speed with proper lighting on his equipment. He was returning to the city shop after repairing a water line break. Armstrong was transported to the Devils Lake hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
