NAPOLEON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Tri-County Tourism Alliance has announced a new book featuring a collection of memories, photos and quotes about county schools in the German-Russian part of the state.

Historian Sue Balcom is with the group and states that country schools in Emmons, Logan, and McIntosh counties will be featured in the book. The companion book entitled “Ready for School” will be on sale at the end of March this year. There are roughly 40 photos of coutnry school life in the black and white book designed and written by Sue Balcom.

The alliance also hosts their traveling display “Women Behind the Plow” which features life on the farm with photos and interviews from woman in the tri-county area of Emmons, Logan and McIntosh counties.
