N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Temperatures skyrocketed over the weekend, giving state residents a taste of spring with record highs set.

According to the Bismarck National Weather Service, record temperatures were set in several cities in North Dakota and South Dakota. Jamestown saw a record high of 68 degrees on Sunday, beating the previous record of 59 degrees in 2000. Fargo hit 66 degree, beating its previous record of 63 also set in 2000.

Other record highs were 62 degrees in Grand Forks, 75 in Bismarck, 73 in Minot, and 70 in Williston. South Dakota also saw record highs, recording 76 in Mobridge and 73 in Pierre.
