N.D. (AP) – A Chicago truck driver is set to stand trial
next month after authorities say he caused a fatal pileup in
southeast North Dakota during a blizzard last winter.
Twenty-eight-year-old Nenad Sibinovic
is charged with reckless driving. A 50-year-old Walcott man died
during the pileup on Interstate 94.
     
LAKOTA, N.D. (AP) – Northeastern North Dakota authorities are
considering charges after a semitrailer collided with a car at a
U.S. Highway 2 intersection. Six people were injured during the
accident yesterday afternoon.
     
  
FARGO, N.D. (AP) – The parent company for two Fargo TV stations
is rejecting gender and age discrimination claims leveled by a
former anchorwoman. Fifty-year-old Robin Huebner is suing Hoak
Media, the parent for KXJB and KVLY. She resigned last October
after more than 20 years, following a decision to replace her on
two newscasts with a 26-year-old female co-anchor.
     
    
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) – Train noise is a thing of the past in
downtown Jamestown after BNSF Railway trains ended the sounding of
horns at a crossing because of safety concerns. BNSF earlier ended
horns at three other downtown Jamestown crossings.
