(NewsDakota.com) – On paper, heading into Wednesday night’s North Star quarterfinal matchup between Jamestown and Waldorf, the Warriors appeared to be over-matched against the No. 9 team in the country. That’s exactly how it played out, with the Jimmies routing the conference’s eighth-seed, 88-49.

McKayla Orr lead the Jimmies with 14 points and All-American Jessica Buck added 12. Jamestown jumped out to an 18-10 lead after the first quarter, but built it to a 17-point half time lead.

Waldorf turned the ball over 26 times, 21 of which were counted as steals. Orr and Kyra Dewald each had five steals.

Jamestown ties the school record with 27-wins and will move on to the NSAA semifinals on Friday night against Mayville State. The game will tip-off after the District 5 boys basketball tournament around 9pm.
