N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Regional Airport has several projects they would like to complete in 2016.
Manager Samuel Seafeldt stated that the board has announced three big projects that the airport would be focusing on this year. Seafeldt pointed out that the big project would include a new wetlands mitigation project on the Northeast side of the land.
Seafeldt mentioned that there would be no hindrances in service to the public, but it would require the closure of the crosswind runway until the project is complete. Due to an increase in traffic at the airport, they will also be looking at expanding the security room.
The last project that the board will be looking at is increasing cell service in the airport. Jamestown Communications will be bringing in a signal booster so individuals will have better cellphone service in the airport.
