ND – (NewsDakota.com) Griggs County States Attorney Jayme Tenneson, Special Assistant Barnes County State’s Attorney, informed the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation that he declined prosecution of Valley City Attorney Russell Myhre concerning an allegation of serving alcohol to minors.

Tenneson said, “After reviewing the materials including the statements, recorded interviews and reports, I have made the decision to decline prosecution for the reason that I do not believe there is sufficient evidence to obtain a conviction with the standard of proof beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Myhre’s attorney Joseph Larson said Myhre is gratified that he has been vindicated. He said the allegation made against Myhre was untrue and politically motivated. Myhre will have no further comment regarding this matter.
