(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High School girls basketball team won their final regular season game of the 2015-16 with a 47-25 win against Milnor/North Sargent Monday night.

Bella Hansen started the scoring for the Tornadoes (6-13, 0-6 Class B District 5) with a fast five points, and Oakes never relinquished the lead throughout the course of the contest. Shelby Roney lead the visitors with a game-high 23 points.  Hansen finished with nine points.

The Bulldogs (1-19, 0-12 Class B Region I) had a team high eight points from Annah Greenmyer.

Oakes now prepares for the Class B District 5 tournament which starts Friday at the Jamestown Civic Center. The round one contest, scheduled for a 6:30 start, features Oakes facing Carrington, a team the Tornadoes lost to by 30 last month.
