N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Game & Fish Department is warning residents that some ice is still not thick enough to support ice houses or vehicles for ice anglers.

Game Biologist Doug Leier pointed out that areas like Lake Audubon East of Garrison is experiencing less ice than normal. Because of the lack of developed ice, a few vehicles have reportedly fallen through.

Leier pointed out that because of thin ice reports across the state in numerous lakes and streams, Game & Fish is encouraging to check ice frequently if trekking out in new areas.
