N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – An investigation into the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department turned up little evidence to file any charges in the misuse of government property.
Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem with the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation began the investigation after it was claimed that a deputy and the sheriff’s son were using a jet ski supposedly owned by the county for recreational use. In the report, several officers were interviewed from the Jamestown Police Department and Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department.
Ultimately, not enough information was found to file charges against any individual. The state BCI has since turned the investigation over to the Jamestown Police Department.
Attached below is the full BCI report. You can read the first story regarding the allegations here.
