N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Both the girls and boys basketball teams from Carrington traveled to Cando on Saturday for a non-region match up with the Bearcats of North Star. On the girls side, No. 5 North Star picked up their 15th victory of the year as the beat the Lady Cardinals 48-41. In the boys game, it was all North Star as they roll past the Cardinals 72-46.
6’5 Junior Macey Kvilvang pours in 29 points for the Lady Bearcats to help them get the victory over Carrington on Saturday afternoon. The Cards were led by Senior Kauri Hochhalter with 14 points, including four 3-pointers, Junior Maara Nelson added 12. NS is now 15-1 overal, Carrington drops to 11-5 overall.
Jayden Komrosky pours in 28 points to help the Bearcats defeat the Cardinals Saturday evening. Riley Lagasse added 15 and Johnny Heisler had 14. Leading the way for Carrington was Shae Mehring with 13 including three 3-pointers and Bryce Edland had 11.
In the Junior Varsity games, Carrington wins both. The girls won 59-32, McKenzie Johnson led the way for the Lady Cardinals with 20. On the boys side, Carrington won 56-43, leading the way for Carrington was Hayden Schmitz with 15.
