N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Some residents are split on the new elementary school project that has been proposed in Carrington.
Superintendent Brian Duchscherer stated that the plan will replace the current elementary facility that will be around 73,000 square feet. The project includes a cafeteria, multi-use gym, and locker room and the cost is estimated to be around $23.5 million.
Some residents approve of the new project, saying that it’s about that time to replace the older school. Here’s resident Charles Linderman.
Other residents are not so sure about the new project. Russ Heidt believes that the cost of the project is a bit high for a small community like Carrington.
More meetings will be held in the future to ask questions and learn more about the project. A special vote will be held on February 16th to approve or disapprove of the project.
