N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  After a fourth place finish at the Stutsman County Tourney last weekend, the Cardinals opened up District 5 play on the road Tuesday night.  Carrington rolls past Midkota/Kensal 82-21, the Cardinals improve to 6-3 overall and 1-0 and Midkota drops to 0-6 and 0-1.  

The Cards took a 39-15 lead at halftime, the Mustangs did not score the entire third quarter.  Eighth grader Jake Timm would end the scoring drought for MK in the fourth quarter after making a free throw, Carrington scored 18 unanswered up until that point.  Sophomore Garrett Bickett led all scorers with 20 points for Carrington.  Followed by Sophomore Kolton Vetter with 12 and Junior Bryce Edland with 11.

Next up for Carrington will be on Friday against No. 5 Central Cass for a boys and girls double header.  Girls Varsity starts about 6pm, boys about 730pm.  Both Varsity games will be on AM 1600 KDAK and NewsDakota.com.
