VALLEY CITY/JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two super storms hit the region causing power outages and widespread damage to structures and trees. Tragically, three fatalities were reported in rural Enderlin from these storms that spawned multiple reports of tornadoes touching down in Barnes Cass, Ransom, and Stutsman counties.
The storm broke plate glass windows scattering glass across city streets, the storm uprooted trees, and tipped over air conditioner units on the roof tops of several businesses in the region.
First responders in Barnes County reported two semi’s overturned as a result of strong straight line winds. In Stutsman county, first responders were called to several gas line breaks and a report of horses trapped inside a structure after it collapsed during the storm.
Jamestown residents due to ongoing power outage issues from the storm, are being asked to conserve water and sanitary sewer usage. Please limit use to essential needs only, until further notice. This conservation is needed until power is restored.
Sanborn residents are also being asked to limit their water usage until further notice.
