Fargo, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The LaMoure-LME Loboes are a dynasty without a crown and they now get a chance to change that. They advanced onto their 4th State Title Game appearance in a 5 year time as they beat the Park River Area Aggies by a final score of 7-4.

The game started with Gunner Thielges getting aboard stealing 2nd base then advancing to 3rd on a throwing error by the catcher. He would then be driven in by an Owen Lesko single to make it 1-0 going to the bottom of the 1st inning. The Aggies would answer immediately going after starting pitcher Lesko and taking advantage of 2 errors to take a 3-1 lead after 1.

The lead would instantly disappear as Gunner Thielges would get a 2 out double to bring home Logan Potts and Jake Kramer making it a 3-3 game, they would also chase Aggie starter Jacob Solseng as Park River would bring in Noah Truftgruben. Colby Thielges would come to the mound instead of Lesko in the bottom half of the 2nd inning and pitch the rest of the game he would hold the Aggies scoreless through the next 3 innings.

The Loboes would reclaim the lead in the 3rd inning when Damian Carlson and Mason Warcken would both get aboard on 1st and 2nd. A couple wild pitches later and Carlson would score with Warcken getting to 3rd. In the middle of the AB with Brady Hanson that saw the 2 wild pitches the Aggies would make one last pitcher change with Jaxon Omdahl coming in relief. Hanson would single anyways and bring in Warcken making it a 5-3 game through 3.

No one would be able to score till the Aggies broke through again in the bottom of the 5th with Tucker Omdahl getting aboard via E5 he would manage to steal 2nd base, get to 3rd on a fielders choice, and score on a wild pitch to make the game 5-4.

Much like everytime Park River scored the Loboes would instantly respond in the top of the 6th inning with a Colby Thielges 2 out double followed by a Lesko triple making it 6-4. Lesko would then come home on a wild pitch making it 7-4. The Aggies would get a lead off triple in their half of the 6th but Colby Thielges would again buckle down and get the next 3 including 2 strikeouts.

The Loboes would go 1-2-3 in the top of the 7th. The Aggies would start the inning off with a Solseng single to bring the tying run to the on deck circle. In the top of the 7th Gage Dunn had had Brady Hanson up and throwing in the bullpen in case he was needed however Colby Thielges would not need to be relieved. He would get Tucker Omdahl to ground into a fielders choice for the first out. Kieran Sullivan, however would end up reaching on an E6 which saw the ball go out of play putting men on 2nd and 3rd with only 1 out meaning the tying run was at the plate. Thielges would leave it at that though as he’d strike out Jameson Erevick and force Trace Anderson to fly out to center to win the ballgame with a final score of 7-4.

The winning pitcher would be Colby Thielges (6.0 IP, 4 H, 1 BB, 6 K, 1 R, 0 ER) coming in relief of Owen Lesko (1.0 IP, 3 H, 2 K, 3 R, 0 ER). The losing pitcher would be Noah Truftgruben (.1 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 2 R, 2 ER) he came in relief of Jacob Solseng (1.2 IP, 3 H, 2 BB, 3 K, 3 R, 3 ER) and was relived by Jaxon Omdahl (5.0 IP, 6 H, 4 K, 2 R, 2 ER).

The game lasted 2:25.
