Fargo, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The LaMoure-LM/E Loboes got their 2025 Class B State Tournament Campaign started on the right foot as they not only beat, they demolished the #5 Shiloh Christian Skyhawks by a final score of 18-1 in 5 innings of play.

The game started slowly for both teams as the Skyhawks would get 2 aboard while Damian Carlson struck out the rest of the side. The Loboes would see 2 quick outs before Owen Lesko drilled a ball into the right-center field gap and get into 3rd base standing. The Loboes wouldn’t be able to capitalize on this however as Carlson would fly out to center. The Skyhawks would get a man to 3rd in the top of the 2nd inning but strand him there as well. The bottom of the second saw the floodgates open with the Loboes scoring 8 runs on 8 hits and 3 errors to take an 8-0 lead as they’d hit around. They would then extend that lead in the bottom of the 3rd scoring 2 more runs on 1 hit and an error to take a 10-0 lead through 3. Shiloh would start to try to battle back scoring a run in the top of the 4th to make it 10-1 but LaMoure would once again hit around in the 4th inning scoring another 8 runs on 4 hits to take a dominating 18-1 lead. Shiloh would only put up 4 batters in the 5th to give the Loboes the opening round win.

The winning pitcher was Damian Carlson (5.0 IP, 3 H, 3 BB, 7 K, 1 R, 1 ER) while the losing pitcher was Easton Manson (1.2 IP, 8 H, 0 BB, 1 K, 8 R, 2 ER).

The total game time was 1:45.

Next up for the Loboes is the semifinals against the #1 seed Park River Area on Friday May 30th. Pregame on KDDR The Tornado begins at around 6:15 with a projected first pitch of 6:30.
