
FARGO – Jamestown Blue Jay Track & Field had a second place girls finish and a fourth place finish for the boys Tuesday at the Fargo North High Five Invitational at Spartan Stadium.
Jamestown’s girls scored 147 1/2 points, only 1/2 point behind winner Valley City.
Julia Skari won in both hurdles events, running in 15.41 seconds in the 100m and taking the 300m in 46.74 seconds. Addison Marker won the shot put at 33 feet, five inches.
Taking second were the 4×100 relay team of Mea Ulland, Claire Marker, Layna Hoffer and Lucy Falk, Marker in the discus and javelin, Hoffer in the high jump and pole vault and Hayden Olson in the triple jump.
Two boys were winners for the Blue Jays. Brady Harty ran the 300m hurdles in 41.36 seconds and Jacoby Traut won the javelin with a throw of 146 feet, one inch.
Harty was second in the 800 meters. Jared Sagaser was runner-up in the 300m hurdles. Jamestown’s ‘A’ team in the 4×100 relay, Tristan Williams, Levi Trevithick, Noah Lynch and Ryan Kallenback, was second. Also second were the 4×400 relay team of Casyn Metzger, Sagaser, Micah Toudt and Iddi Ramadhani and Cody Berreth in the shot put.
On Friday and Saturday, qualifying athletes from Jamestown will run in the Howard Wood Relays in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The remainder of the team will run in the Carrington Kiwanis/Lions meet on Saturday.
