BISMARCK – Needing to gain ground in conference play, Jamestown Blue Jay Softball did so with big runs.

Jamestown broke its four-game WDA losing streak Tuesday with a sweep of Century 10-7 and 19-3 at the Cottonwood Fastpitch Softball Complex.

Game 1: Jamestown 10, Century 7
Jamestown (9-7-1, 5-6 WDA) scored in every inning except the second in earning its first conference win since April 12.

Jordan Mikkelson doubled, tripled and drove in four runs. Maddie Hoff had two hits and two RBI and pitched a complete game in the circle. The Blue Jays had 12 hits and drew six walks.

Game 2: Jamestown 19, Century 3
Avery Graves slugged the Blue Jays (10-7-1, 6-6 WDA) to the sweep. She was 4-for-5 with two doubles, a home run and six RBI. Brynn Sorenson also had four hits. Hoff had three. Winning pitcher Jaelyn Sloan, Megan Jarrett, Mikkelson, Brynn Sorenson and Rilie Wolf drove in two runs each.

Sloan pitched a five-hitter and struck out 14.

Jamestown will host Minot North on Thursday at Trapper Lawrence Field.
