VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The Valley City Hi-Liners stayed local for the VCSU Invitational on April 24, competing in windy, cool conditions but still turning in outstanding performances. The team tallied 43 place winners, 33 personal records, two school records, and three new state qualifiers.
Two days later, a small group of Hi-Liners traveled to Fargo for the prestigious NDSU Elite Meet, which featured the top 24 athletes from North Dakota, Minnesota, and South Dakota in each event. Despite the continued windy conditions, Valley City’s elite athletes once again rose to the challenge, with six placing, four setting personal records, one school record broken, and another athlete punching a ticket to state.
