FARGO – Both University of Jamestown track & field teams finished seventh of nine entries Friday at the Bison Open at the Terrence Dahl and Donna Beres Track Complex.

Ruth Harris finished fourth in the pole vault, the best finish for the UJ women, with Quinn Bassingthwaite seventh.  Brenna Held placed fifth in the shot put.  Harris was sixth in the triple jump.  Canbrie Fischer finished sixth in the javelin.  Heather Okeson was sixth in the discus.  Madalyn Neumann ran seventh in the 400m hurdles.  Paige Erhardt finished eighth in the 100m hurdles.

For the Jamestown men, the 4×100 relay team of Connor Knatterud, Xander Rath, Cael Church and Avery Ligon ran third.  Victor Ramos was fourth best in the hammer throw.  Ashton Judge took fourth in the long jump.  Tyler Dean placed fourth in the discus, with Samuel Reiland fifth and Dawson Sedivec sixth.  Ethan Duval finished seventh in the high jump and javelin.  Church ran eighth in the 400m.  Thomas Drago was eighth in the javelin.

The Jimmies will take part in the NSAA Outdoor Championships on May 8 and 9 in Dickinson.
