VALLEY CITY, N.D. (VCSUVikings.com)– Valley City State University track & field is headed to North Dakota State University to compete in the Bison Open this Thursday, Apr. 24, and Friday, Apr. 25, at the Terrence Dahl and Donna Beres Track Complex on the NDSU campus.

The meet is slated to begin with the hammer throw and heptathlon at 1:00 on Thursday. All other events are schedule for Friday starting with the heptathlon at 10:30 a.m. followed by the javelin at noon.

The Vikings are fresh off hosting the Viking twilight where VCSU track & field recorded nine first place finishes, 28 top three finishes and 53 top eight finishes.

Viking women Olivia Backus (200-meter, long jump), Karly Just (5000-meter), Kendra Odegard (javelin), and Emma Muggli (triple jump) all produced first place finishes.

Viking men Mason Brehmer (1500-meter), Cody Frounfelter (hammer throw), Zeke Barnick (high jump), and Jordan Mound (long jump) recorded first place finishes.
