BISMARCK – Dawson Sedivec had a huge throw last week and has received his due.

Sedivec, a University of Jamestown senior, has been named as the NSAA Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Last Saturday, Sedivec won the hammer throw at the Al Cassell Classic at Rollie Greeno Field at Charlotte & Gordon Hansen Stadium and produced the NAIA ‘B’ provisional qualifying mark of 58.02m (190 feet, four inches).  That’s the third-longest hammer throw in NAIA competition this season.  Sedivec was also third in the discus at 44.40m (145 feet, eight inches) and fifth in the shot put at 13.80m (45 feet, three and a half inches).
