JAMESTOWN – Several University of Jamestown Track & Field athletes placed in the Al Cassell Classic Saturday at Rollie Greeno Field at Charlotte & Gordon Hansen Stadium.
For the Jimmie women in track events, Paige Erhardt was second in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.60 seconds, Sara Bonn was fourth at 17.08 and Ella Germundson finished fifth in 17.21.
Madalyn Neumann was second in the 400 meters, running in 1:05.26. Germundson was third at 1:09.72.
In the 100 meters, Monica Goven finished fourth at 12.87. Sara Sletto came sixth at 13.08.
In field events, Heather Okeson won the discus at 38.60m. Makenzie Gibson was fifth at 33.37m. Brenna Held took sixth at 32.90m.
Gibson finished second in the hammer throw at 43.55m, with Held third (42.66m) and Okeson sixth (41.57m).
Ruth Harris took third in the pole vault, clearing 3.01m. Quinn Bassingthwaite was fourth, also at 3.01m.
Neumann marked 1.56m to take third in the high jump. Erhardt was fourth at 1.51m, and Bonn placed sixth, also jumping 1.51m.
Cambrie Fischer had a third-place finish in the javelin at 37.91m. Erhardt was at 35.90m for fifth.
Sydney Ulrich was fourth in the long jump at 5.11m, with Fischer sixth at 4.99m.
Jimmie men’s track results included second place for Kadin Marshall in the 800 meters, running in 2:04.02. Samuel Sampers was sixth at 2:06.99.
In the 100 meters, Avery Ligon ran third in 11.16 seconds.
Tyler Dean was one of two Jamestown winners in field events, coming first in the discus at 45.71m. Samuel Reiland was second (44.45m), Dawson Sedivec placed third (44.40m), Ethan Halverson was fourth (42.31m), Kobe Irmen finished fifth (40.66m), Shane Schnurr was sixth (38.43m) and Evan Schmit was seventh (38.35m).
Sedivec won the hammer throw at 58.02m. Ramos was second in 52.54m and Schmit was fourth at 44.91m.
In the long jump, Ashton Judge finished second at 6.88m. Trevor Waldo came fifth at 6.50m and Kaden Jensen was sixth at 6.45m.
Schmit was second and one of five UJ placers in the shot put at 14.30m. Halverson was third (14.23m), Jobe Rystedt came fourth (13.96m), Sedivec was fifth at 13.80m and Dean finished seventh (13.51m).
Irmen took second place in the javelin at 47.57m. Thomas Drago threw 44.34m for fourth, Dean was fifth at 38.33m and Charles Eaton was seventh at 32.54m.
In the high jump, Ethan Lieb was fifth and Riley Johnson sixth, both clearing 1.80m.
Jamestown’s teams will compete Tuesday in the Viking Twilight meet at VCSU.
