
FARGO, N.D. (NDHP) – A 20-year-old man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 52nd Avenue South and 31st Street South in Fargo on Friday, April 11th around 7″30pm.
The Highway Patrol said a Triumph Street Triple motorcycle was traveling eastbound on 52nd Avenue approaching the intersection. A Chevrolet Malibu was westbound on 52nd Avenue in the left turn lane to go south on 31st Street. The Chevrolet entered the intersection and began turning. The motorcycle entered the intersection and attempted to steer right before contact occurred. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle. He sustained serious injuries and was transported to a Fargo hospital by ambulance.
The Chevrolet driver and passengers reported minor or no injuries. Both vehicles were disabled and towed from the scene.
Earlier in the evening law enforcement recorded this motorcycle driving at speeds up to 140mph but declined to pursue due to safety reasons.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
