BISMARCK – Jamestown Jimmies Track & Field had solid finishes Sunday in the Al Bortke Open at the MDU Resources Community Bowl, with the Jimmie women taking fourth place and the men finishing third.

Allyson Goodman had the best individual finish for the UJ women, with second in the 1500 meters in a personal-best 5:09.52.  Kirsten Vander Kooi was fourth, with Brooke Olson seventh and Jennifer Tallackson eighth.

Brenna Held was third in the shot put at 12.33m and fifth in the hammer throw at 43.94m.

Quinn Bassingthwaite cleared 3.35m for third in the pole vault, with Ruth Harris fourth.

Paige Erhardt was fifth in the javelin at 35.02m.  She also was sixth in the high jump (1.55m) with Madalyn Neumann eighth.  Erhardt also took sixth in the 100 meter hurdles.

Harris placed sixth in the triple jump at 10.24m with Monica Goven seventh.

Neumann and Ella Germundson were seventh and eighth respectively in the 400 meters.

Heather Okeson set a program record of 38.25m to place seventh in discus.

Ethan Duval was second for the Jamestown men in the high jump at 1.94m.  Riley Johnson placed sixth.

Dawson Sedivec took the second spot in the hammer throw at 55.20m.  Victor Ramos was sixth.

In the 800 meters, Clark Lortscher was third (1:59.88), with Cole Campbell fifth and Kadin Marshall seventh.

Lucas Dahl placed third in the 1500 meters at 4:21.66.

Ashton Judge was third in the long jump (6.70m), followed by Kaden Jensen in fourth.

The Jimmies’ 4×100 relay team of Connor Knatterud, Xander Rath, Trevor Waldo and Avery Ligon ran 43.55 seconds for fourth.

Jobe Rystedt took fifth in the shot put at 14.52m, with Ethan Halverson eighth.

Dylan Frusciante placed sixth in the 110 meter hurdles, running in 19.28.

The Jimmies finished sixth through eighth in the discus with Evan Schmit, Samuel Reiland and Kobe Irmen.  Irmen also was seventh in the javelin.

Both Jamestown teams will compete in the NDSU Spring Invite on Friday and Saturday in Fargo.
