VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two local civic groups have been hosting monthly forums in Valley City since last January. The final forum in this series will be held from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, April 12 in the Skoal Room at the Student Center, Valley City State University (near the Center’s WEST door). Sponsors are local League of Women Voters (LWV) volunteers and the Valley City-Barnes County Development Corporation (VCBCDC).
District 24 Sen. Mike Wobbema, Rep. Dwight Kiefert and Rep. Daniel Johnston have indicated they will not attend the April 12 event. But forum attendees will still be able to gain information about current bills via an internet connection enabling live display of the North Dakota Legislative Website. Of all the states’ legislative websites, North Dakota’s is one of the best, most citizen-friendly in the nation, according to the forum sponsors. [https://ndlegis.gov/]
District 24 citizens are encouraged to bring and share information about bills on topics that are important to them. Coffee will be provided.
