
KANSAS CITY, MO – Jamestown Jimmies junior guard Kate Cordes has been named as a third-team NAIA Women’s Basketball All-American for 2024-25.
Cordes was second in the NSAA and 16th nationally with 19.6 points per game. She also averaged 4.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
She hit 90 three-pointers, which was tied for seventh in the nation and eclipsed the former program record of 83, set by Megan Fiechtner in 1998-99.
Cordes led all of NAIA Women’s Basketball in free throw shooting at 94.6 percent (87-of-92), shattering the former program record of 85.7 percent by Kathi Fischer in 1978-79.
She scored in double figures in 28 of 30 games, including a career-high 36 points against Dickinson State on February 26 in the first round of the NSAA Women’s Basketball Championship at Harold Newman Arena.
Cordes is now 12th in Jimmie Women’s Basketball all-time scoring with 1,246 points, moving up 35 places on the list this past season. She scored 587 points in 2024-25 and is 588 points behind the program’s all-time leading scorer, Kia Tower.
This is the 14th time that a Jimmie Women’s Basketball player has been given an NAIA All-American honor.
