VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The North Star Athletic Association announced its first edition of the 2025 Women’s and Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes-of-the-Week Tuesday.  Kendra Odegard of Valley City State (N.D.) was selected as the Women’s Field Athlete-of-the-Week.  There were no nominees for Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete-of-the-Week, and Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes-of-the-Week.

Kendra Odegard – Valley City State (N.D.) – Senior – Lisbon, N.D. – Odegard took first in the javelin for Valley City State (N.D.) in the NCAA Division II meet, the University of Mary (N.D.) Marauders Outdoor Open.  She threw the NAIA ‘B’ provisional qualifying standard of 42.10 meters (138 feet, 1 inch) in the javelin.  Odegard also posted an 11.60 meters (38 feet, .75 inches) mark in the shot-put toss, placing fifth in the event.
