
MESA, AZ – Sixth-ranked Benedictine University Mesa swept past University of Jamestown Men’s Volleyball Thursday 25-17, 25-19, 25-23 in the Jimmies’ last match of four in Arizona at Benedictine’s Physical Education Complex.
Landon Fuller led balanced scoring for BENU (15-3) with 12 kills. Trevor Weinert notched eight kills and five total blocks. Dapre Rogers had six kills. Josh Beymer and Ben Turcinec each served two aces.
Michal Niemiec, who had combined for 53 kills in his previous two matches for the Jimmies (6-18), had 11 on Thursday with two aces. Ajani Layne had seven kills. Gabriel Ocasio had 21 set assists and Ethan Hoffert tallied seven digs.
BENU had 38 kills to Jamestown’s 26 and hit .277. UJ hit .000, meaning they had the same number of kills and errors.
The Jimmies’ next match will be on Saturday, April 12 against 13th-ranked Reinhardt University in Oakland City, Indiana.
