VALLEY CITY, ND (NewsDakota.com) – Concerned citizens of Valley City are taking action. A recall effort is officially underway to remove all current City Commissioners and the Mayor, citing significant concerns over recent city projects and financial mismanagement.

A public signing event will be held at Chautauqua Park on Saturday March 22nd from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, where community members can sign the official recall petitions.

Key reason driving this recall effort include:

Public Works Service Center – The commission has shown a lack of interest in listening to the will of the tax-paying citizens of the city.  They are pushing municipal projects that tax-payers do not want. They refuse to allow major capital projects like the new Public Works Service Center to be put to a vote of the qualified electors of the city.
