PARK CITY, KS – University of Jamestown women’s wrestler Alyssa Johnson earned All-American honors with a sixth-place finish at 160 pounds at the NAIA Women’s Wrestling Championships, which concluded Saturday at Park City Arena.

Johnson was ranked sixth nationally entering the tournament and, after a first-round bye, won by tech fall over Alexa Wolff of William Penn in her second-round match.  She then won by injury default in the quarterfinal round.

Johnson was then pinned in the semifinals by Darby Weidl of Ottawa.  She lost by injury default in the consolation semifinal and in the fifth-place match.

Ann Marie Meiman, at 145 pounds, and Grace Todhunter (207) also represented UJ in the program’s last NAIA national tournament appearance.
