JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Chamber) – Annie Hancock, Development Director at SMP Health – Ave Maria, has been named one of North Dakota’s “Women to Know and Watch in ND Business” by the Greater North Dakota Chamber (GNDC). This recognition highlights her work in the healthcare field and her contributions to the Jamestown community.

“Recognizing these outstanding women is about more than individual success—it’s about celebrating the impact they have across North Dakota’s business landscape. These honorees are admired by their peers, both inside and outside their organizations, for their leadership, innovation, and commitment to excellence. Their achievements inspire others and contribute to the strength and growth of our industries and communities,” stated Amanda Remynse,
GNDC Vice President, Strategic Engagement.

Hancock has been a key player at SMP Health – Ave Maria since joining in 2018. In her role, she has led several important projects, including the “Forward in Faith” campaign. This campaign raised $8 million for renovations, including new private rooms to improve care for residents.

Hancock has coordinated several fundraising projects, such as the annual butter braid fundraiser and quilt raffle, to support resident programs at Ave Maria. She also helped secure a $1,125 grant from the Jamestown Community Foundation to replace wheelchairs for residents, improving their mobility and comfort. She was also the recipient of the Above & Beyond Award from the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce in 2024 for her work in the Rotary Club’s Gear up for Winter coat drive and distribution.

Hancock will be among those recognized in weekly spotlights by the GNDC and celebrated during the Women You Need to Know List & Luncheon in Bismarck on Wednesday, May 7th from 11:45 AM to 1 PM.
