
TUCSON, AZ – University of Jamestown Softball split two games Saturday in their next-to-last day at the Tucson Invitational Games at the Kino Sports Complex.
Jamestown dropped Concordia (MI) 5-2 and lost to Northwestern College 7-2.

Jamestown (14-8) had 10 hits in securing a ninth consecutive win.
Kayla Quintanilla tied the game at 1-1 with an RBI single in the third inning.
Laura Ransome gave UJ the lead in the bottom of the fourth with an RBI single.
The Jimmies brought home three more runs in the fifth inning on a two-run single by Natalie Draper and a wild pitch.
Abby Blair (5-4) pitched a complete-game victory, giving up two runs and seven hits while striking out seven.

Northwestern never trailed as a nine-game winning streak ended for Jamestown (14-9).
Quintanilla had an RBI single in the second to tie the game at 1-1, but the Raiders scored two runs in the fourth, a run in the fifth and three more in the sixth.
Chloe Gallegos drove in two runs for Northwestern (18-5).
Kate Geiszler hit her first collegiate home run for the Jimmies in the seventh.
Hope Ransome (3-4) lasted three and a third innings, giving up three runs, three hits and three walks. Maddie Hairgrove allowed four unearned runs in two and two-thirds innings.
On Sunday, the Jimmies will conclude their Arizona trip by meeting William Penn and Park University Gilbert.
