VALLEY CITY, N.D. (VCSU) – Valley City State University’s Department of Communication Arts is encouraging students interested in writing, journalism, digital media, social media, corporate communication or competing in collegiate speech to attend the upcoming Communication Visit Day.

Students are invited to campus on Wednesday, March 19, to learn more about communication classes, competing with the VCSU speech team and touring the facilities including the podcast studio. VCSU offers a comprehensive communication degree that can be tailored to a student’s interests. Graduates work in a wide variety of fields including as social media managers, communication specialists and corporate trainers. Communication classes are offered both in-person and online.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual income for an individual with a communication degree is $60,000.
