VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The Sheyenne River Valley Scenic Byway is proud to announce the establishment of a new endowment fund in partnership with the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation. This significant initiative marks a milestone for both organizations, aiming to ensure the long-term preservation and enhancement of the Scenic Byway.

The Sheyenne River Valley Scenic Byway, one of 184 National Scenic Byways or All-American Roads in the USA so designated by Congress, known for its picturesque scenic landscapes and rich cultural heritage, has been a cherished destination for locals and visitors alike. By opening this endowment fund, the Byway seeks to secure a sustainable source of funding to cover maintenance costs and continue providing an exceptional visitor experience for all who travel its 63-mile route.

The Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation, dedicated to supporting local initiatives and fostering community growth, is thrilled to collaborate on this project. The Foundation’s expertise in managing endowment funds will ensure that the contributions are effectively utilized to maintain and improve the Byway.

“We are excited to partner with the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation to create this endowment fund,” said Bobby Koepplin, Chairman of the Sheyenne River Valley Scenic Byway board. “This fund will play a crucial role in preserving the beauty and accessibility of the Byway for future generations.”

The public is invited to contribute to this new endowment fund. Donations of any size are welcome and will directly support the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the Sheyenne River Valley Scenic Byway and Water Trail that is under development. Contributions can be made through the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation’s website or by contacting their office directly at 250 West Main St. in Valley City, ND.

“We encourage everyone who loves the Sheyenne River Valley Scenic Byway to consider making a donation,” said Josh Lagein, President of the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation board.
