JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NDHP) –  A North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper initiated a pursuit of a Lincoln Town Car following a traffic stop for exceeding the speed limit on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at approximately 12:45 pm. The suspect vehicle was then observed driving recklessly, including passing another vehicle at the crest of a hill at 110 mph. The pursuit continued northbound, with the suspect evading spike strips. A second vehicle, later determined to be driven by someone known to the driver of the first vehicle, followed the pursuit at high speeds but was stopped by law enforcement. The pursuit entered Jamestown, and the trooper discontinued the pursuit for safety reasons. A second trooper re-engaged the pursuit when the suspect vehicle fled out of city limits on the Highway 52 bypass. The driver continued to drive recklessly, crossing into oncoming lanes and endangering other motorists.

The suspect, a 33-year-old male from Pensacola, FL, was apprehended near Bordulac and booked into the Stutsman County Jail on charges of felony reckless endangerment, felony fleeing, and misdemeanor driving under suspension.

This incident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
