KANSAS CITY, MO – Ann Marie Meiman and Allyssa Johnson won conference individual titles for University of Jamestown Women’s Wrestling and the team was third overall Saturday in the KCAC Women’s Wrestling Championships at Avila University’s Mabee Fieldhouse.

Meiman, ranked 20th nationally at 145 pounds, won a 9-9 decision over Heidi Schultz of Friends University in the title match.

Johnson, ranked number six at 160 won an 11-10 decision in the championship match over Darby Weidl of Ottawa University.  She was named as the KCAC Wrestler of the Year.

Meiman and Johnson both qualify for the NAIA Women’s Wrestling National Championships on March 14-15 at Park City, Kansas.

So does Grace Todhunter, who finished third at 207 pounds.

Also, Jamestown was named as the tournament’s Team of Character.
