
JAMESTOWN – Jamestown and everybody else continues to try to catch up to Dickinson in high school gymnastics.
But the Blue Jays’ showing was still excellent in the NDHSAA State Gymnastics Championships Friday and Saturday at Jerry Meyer Arena.
In the team competition Friday, Jamestown was second with 146.833, second to Dickinson, who won a 10th straight state championship. Jamestown was second in vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise.
Julia Skari of the Blue Jays was second all-around in the individual competition on Saturday. Skari scored 38.600, just .05 behind champion Aspen Roadarmel of Dickinson. Skari won floor exercise and was third in vault, fourth in uneven bars and fifth in balance beam.
