(NewsDakota.com) – Deputy School Resource Officer (SRO) Chantel Swigart of Grassy Butte, ND, will be awarded the North Dakota American Legion Law Enforcement Officer of the Year by the North Dakota American Legion on Sunday, June 29, at the Legion Joint Session at 10:00 AM at the Department Convention in Fargo, ND.

She loves inspiring the next generation while simultaneously ensuring their safety. When Chantel isn’t working as an SRO for her four schools, you can find her out hunting, fishing or mainly hiking as she loves the outdoors.
Congratulations to Deputy School Resource Officer Swigart for being recognized as a leader within the Law Enforcement family.
