Jamestown, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The 2025 Class B Girls Postseason continued on Tuesday with the Semifinal round of the Region I Tournament at the Jamestown Civic Center.

Semifinal 1: D2#1 (#8) Linton-HMB 41-34 D2#4 Edgeley/Kulm/Montpellier 

The Lady Lions are back to a Region Championship beating the Rebels 41-34. The game started slow for both teams as no one was shooting particularily well through the 1st half. The Lions took a 8-7 lead after the 1st quarter. The Rebels would then score 10 straight to take a 17-8 lead but that lead would evaporate as the Lions brought it back to 17-15 at the half. The lions would then retake the lead in the 3rd leading 28-25. The game would go back and forth in the 4th quarter. The Lions would end up taking a late 4 point lead that would turn to 7 with 20 seconds left off of a Brooklyn Schumacher trey to get the dagger making it 41-34.

The Lions will play in the Region 1 Championship on Thursday at 7:30 pm while the Rebels will play in the 3rd place game for a chance to play in Mayville at a state play-in game.

Semifinal 2: D1#1 (RV) Maple River 51-60 D2#2 (RV) LaMoure-LM 

The Loboes aggressive defense punched their ticket to the Region 1 Championship as they beat the Raiders 60-51. The game started with the Loboes getting an early 18-3 lead. The Raiders would get it to 20-8 to end the quarter. The Loboes would maintain their lead in the second in spite of their foul trouble leading 28-20 at the half. Their would be no change in score differential in the 3rd as it’d be 42-34. The Loboes would then take the win home in the 4th as Maple River got into foul trouble winning 60-51. The Raiders would be done in via their free throws as they only went 15/29 from the line on the game.

The Loboes are back to the Region Championship as they’ll play Linton-HMB the Raiders will have to play against the Rebels to keep their season alive.
