TOWER CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City speech team traveled to Maple River for an amazing speech tournament on Saturday, February 22nd. The Valley City Hi-liners had a great day! Many students placed and State Qualified.

The results are listed below:

EPR: Grady Samuelson (8th ), John Oakland (4th ). Extemp: Carter Hass (1 st, State Qualifying). Poetry: Cadence Fetsch (4th ).

Radio: Matthew Holm (4th ), Alyssa Wilmes (1st , State Qualifying). Serious Duo: Kaydence Blunk and Alizabeth Nelson (5th ).

Storytelling: Addy Loehr (7th ). Entertain: Quin Kruger (7th ), Cooper Anderson (4th ), Addison Fetsch (3rd ).

Persuade: Claire Hass (6th ), Cadence Fetsch (1st , State Qualifying).

Inform: Abby Wilmes (4th ), Quin Kruger (3rd ).

Impromptu: Matthew Holm (7th ), Abby Wilmes (2nd ).

As a team the Valley City Hi-liners did amazing and took 2nd place in the tournament! The Speech Team will be headed to Shiloh-Christian on Saturday, March 1 st for another amazing Saturday of competition.
