HARVEY, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A Harvey, North Dakota man has been arrested and is facing several charges, accused of having and sharing child pornography.

Shae William Miller is charged with promoting or directing an obscene sexual performance by a minor, attempted solicitation of a minor and two counts of possession of certain materials prohibited.

The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation started looking into Miller late last month after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

According to court records, investigators found multiple photos and videos of child pornography on his devices. The victims are young girls between the ages of five and 10.

Investigators found Miller told others online he had previously engaged in sexual acts with a five-year-old child. They also found Miller engaged in sexually explicit communications online with a teen.

In November, Miller wrote on Facebook, “I’m looking for a job for the weekends as a babysitter. If you know anyone who needs a babysitter, let me know.”

According to court papers, Miller admitted to investigators that he made the post in an effort to gain access to a child. Miller said he had viewed and sent child pornography on social media platforms. He’s next court appearance is set for Mar. 9, 2025.
