Jamestown Jimmies ACHA Women’s Hockey will head into their postseason on a long goalless drought, which continued Saturday with a 3-0 loss to Minot State at MAYSA Arena, Jamestown’s fourth straight game to be shut out.
Paige Ackerman scored a power play goal in the first period for the Beavers (21-7-1-2). Abby Tallman scored another power play marker early in the third period and Olvia Opheim scored into an empty net with 2:36 remaining.
UJ (7-15-4-3) missed on four power play chances and ended the regular season on a five-game losing streak. The Jimmies have a streak of 271 minutes and 39 seconds without scoring.
Jamestown will begin play in the Women’s Midwest College Hockey tournament on Thursday in O’Fallon, Illinois.
