MINOT – Maybe it was bad timing. Or maybe they were just up against a very good team.
Payton Schell scored 26 points Tuesday as Minot drilled Jamestown Blue Jay Boys Basketball 95-65 at the Magic City Campus of Minot High School.
The Magicians (14-3, 11-3 WDA) were only four days removed from losing to Dickinson for the second time this season and blitzed Jamestown with a 61-point first half, leading 61-35 after 18 minutes. Schell scored 17 of his points in the first half and nailed four three-pointers.
Jamestown (2-15, 2-12) remained tied for eighth in the WDA with St. Mary’s and will meet Bismarck High in the capital city on Friday.
