
BISMARCK – Andrew Brubakken scored twice Thursday as Century defeated Jamestown Blue Jay Boys Hockey 6-2 at the VFW Sports Center.
Brubakken scored with 3:33 left in the first period for a 1-0 Century lead.
Jackson Maddock evened the game for the Blue Jays 1:22 into the second period. Brubakken scored just under three minutes later and Century did not trail again. Keaton Schulte scored at 7:17 for the Patriots and Jackson Fylling tallied at 9:38 and Century led 4-1 after two periods.
Parker Roelfsma scored the other goal for Jamestown (11-6-1-1, 9-5-1-1) 37 seconds into the third period to come within 4-2, but Century had empty net goals from Aidan Johnson at 13:07 and Gavin Fryhling at 15:36 to put the game away.
Jamestown will host Mandan on the Blue Jays’ next-to-last regular season game on Tuesday at Wilson Arena. Coverage will begin at around 7:15 PM on The Voice of the Blue Jays, Jamestown 107.1.
