PARKVILLE, MO – Eighth-ranked Westcliff gave University of Jamestown Men’s Volleyball its third consecutive loss Thursday, winning in five sets, 25-22, 18-25, 25-18, 23-25, 15-13 in the Pirate Invitational at the Breckon Sports Center.
Rodolfo Beiglemeier led the Warriors (1-0) with 17 kills, three aces and six digs. Tom Dempsey scored 15 kills, two aces and seven digs. Tiago Silva had four blocks. Nikos Kalagsadis registered 30 set assists.
Tomasz Swiderski had 17 kills for UJ (1-3) with three digs. Michal Niemiec smashed 16 kills with eight digs, two aces and two blocks. Gavin Hackley made 13 kills, six digs and two blocks. Gabriel Ocasio had 48 set assists and 10 digs.
Jamestown will play St. Thomas (FL) on Friday afternoon in Parkville and the host Park University on Friday evening.
