BISMARCK – Bismarck High School easily won wrestling duals from Jamestown Thursday at Karlgaard Gym.
The Bismarck girls stormed away after an 18-18 tie to drub the Blue Jays 58-18. Leah Torres, Kaydence Golding and Mackenzie Stoddart had consecutive pins for the Blue Jays (2-5, 1-5 WDA), but Bismarck (6-1, 5-1) then had five pins and a major decision in the last six contested matches.
Bismarck’s boys (7-3, 4-0) remained in a tie for the WDA lead with Century by securing nine pins. Lucas Schlepuetz had the only win for Jamestown (0-12, 0-5) with a pin.
On Friday, the Blue Jay girls will wrestle against Legacy and Dickinson in a dual triangular at Legacy High School. For the boys, the Larimore Invitational is next on Saturday.
