VALLEY CITY, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A man who was employed at a center serving people with disabilities is now facing a felony charge.
30-year-old Adam Michael Liesener is charged with one count of luring minors by computer and one count of indecent exposure.
Court records say Valley City Police were tipped off on August 12, 2024, that Liesener sent a nude picture to minors. He was working for the Open Door Center in Valley City, which serves children and adults with disabilities.
A special agent with the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation located Liesener at work on August 14, 2024 and presented him with a search warrant for his phone.
In an interview with investigators, Liesener explained that he was intoxicated and met some people at the skate park in Valley City. He says he became Snapchat friends with kids he met there. He didn’t know their ages, but estimated they were between 14 and 18 years old.
Court records go on to say that Liesener admitted to later sending a nude picture of himself. He told investigators he has never had physical contact with anyone under the age of 18.
Liesener was arrested January 27 and made his first court appearance in Barnes County on January 28.
