VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Would you know what to do in a cardiac emergency? If not, join CHI Mercy Health for a Family & Friends Hands-Only CPR and AED training session. Learn the basics of performing CPR and how to use an AED to help save lives. This non-certification class is perfect for all ages who want to feel more prepared during an emergency. The free class will be held Thursday, January 30th at 5:30pm in the Gaukler Family Wellness Center.
The Safety Series is a community initiative designed to start 2025 on a safe and healthy note by empowering Valley City residents with essential knowledge and life-saving skills. Through partnerships with local organizations and first responders, these sessions aim to bridge the gap between the resources available in our community and the people who can benefit from them. Each class offers practical education on topics like fire safety, CPR, personal protection, and emergency preparedness, helping to create a stronger, more connected, and resilient community.

Thursday, February 6, Valley City Police Department – general safety and scam prevention tips.
Thursday, February 13, City-County Health District will provide AEDs and Opioid Overdose Prevention with Ready Stations.
All of these safety classes are held in the Gaukler Family Wellness Center on the Thursday dates above at 5:30pm.
