BELLEVUE, NE – If it was Frustration Friday for University of Jamestown, then the next day was Super Saturday.
After losses Friday at Dakota State, both Jimmie teams came back with Saturday victories against Bellevue at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. The Jimmie women came from 11 points down to stop Bellevue 76-71, then the UJ men eased past the Bruins 71-58.

57 percent first-quarter shooting led Bellevue to a lead of as much as 11 and by nine at the end of one quarter, 21-12.
Jamestown (15-5, 5-4 NSAA) came back in the second quarter by holding the Bruins to five buckets and cutting the deficit to 35-31 by halftime.
Jessika Lofstrom scored seven in the third quarter and the Jimmies made four three-pointers, but they still were four down after three, 55-51.
Early in the fourth quarter, Jamestown, down six, engineered a 12-2 run, helped by six points from Kate Cordes and four from Kate Busek. The Jimmies led 67-66 with under three minutes left before Cordes and Busek hit back-to-back threes to make UJ a 73-66 leader.
Off the bench, Lofstrom established a career high with 19 points with three three-pointers, nine rebounds and two assists. Cordes scored 15, including nine in the final quarter. Jailyn Martinson scored a season-high 11 points.
Gabby Moore led Bellevue (11-8, 3-5) with 20 points, but missed all six of her three-pointers. Moore leads the conference with 65 treys.
The win placed Jamestown back into sole second place in the NSAA, one-half game in front of Mayville State and a game and a half over Bellevue and VCSU.
Men: Jamestown 71, Bellevue 58
Another second-half offensive surge led Jamestown to its seventh win in the last eight games.
Jamestown (12-8, 6-2 NSAA) led 18-6 thanks to early threes by Owen Hektner, Anthony Walters and Ayden Stainbrook. That lead came due to a 13-0 run as Jamestown held Bellevue scoreless for 8:56. Bellevue (12-9, 4-4) then responded with a 16-5 run which ended with a Deng Jal three-pointer. Jamestown led 25-24 at halftime after a late jumper by Silas Bennion.
As the second half came, shots started to fall for Jamestown. They broke a 29-29 tie with an 8-0 run. Up 44-37, the Jimmies then forged a 14-3 run to seal the outcome.
Bennion had 23 with three rebounds, two assists and two steals. Will Cordes scored a season-high 17 points, 15 of which came in the second half.
Willie Williams scored nine for Bellevue (12-9, 4-4).
Jamestown kept pace with NSAA leader Dickinson State, who narrowly won at Dakota State. The Jimmies are 6-2, one game behind the 7-1 Blue Hawks.
